National/Regional Recognition
1. Carl Baum was interviewed for the November 7 New York Times article on poison control centers, “Poison Centers Facing Greater Risks All Around”.
2. Stu Weinzimer served as keynote speaker for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s 3rd annual Pediatric Endocrinology Clinical Pearls and Review for the Primary Care Practitioner, Nov 12, 2011: “High-Tech Diabetes Care for Children”.
3. Stu Weinzimer also served as grant reviewer for the NIH/NIDDK Special Emphasis Panel/Scientific Review Group: 2012/01 ZRG1 EMNR-E (11) B – Small Business, Diabetes and Nutrition, Nov 8, 2011.
Grants/Awards
1. Our Cystic Fibrosis Center, headed by Marie Egan, was recently awarded a Quality Care Award from the CF Foundation at the national North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference, in recognition of sustained quality improvement work that helped achieve better health outcomes for people with CF.
